VICE PRESIDENT, NATIONAL ACCOUNTS

 

Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. We have state-of-the-art potato processing plants in Prince Edward Island, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jamestown, North Dakota, and an appetizer plant in Wheatley, Ontario. Our Head office is in Dieppe, New Brunswick and has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal, and Boston.

 

Cavendish Farms has established an indelible role in the industry throughout North America and Internationally, having grown and expanded our market due to forward-thinking, strategic planning and our commitment to service and quality. We’re seeking an experienced Vice President, National Accounts to continue that tradition of excellence, and drive towards our sales goals internationally.


Reporting to the Senior VP, Sales and Marketing, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated leader, who’s able to set and attain performance goals, and isn’t afraid of a fast-paced, high-responsibility hands-on environment. We support and encourage selling at its competitive best, and this role requires the ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and make the position truly your own. Qualifications:

  • Completion of post-secondary education;
  • Seven to ten years’ experience in a Senior Sales Leadership role in the food industry; 
  • Outstanding leadership and customer relationship skills;
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills;
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective organizational and time management skills;
  • Understanding of food processing/manufacturing environment;
  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral presentation skills;
  • Ability to interact and achieve results with all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to thrive in a ‘family owned’ entrepreneurial environment;
  • Promote and foster internal leadership with all functions within the business including:  Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and Logistics;
  • Experience leading CRM initiatives;
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish would be considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Profitably grow the Cavendish Farms business;
  • Participate in annual budget process to arrive at margin and revenue targets both on an annual basis and for a three-year plan;
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Key/National Accounts and Food Service Distributors;
  • Significant travel required within the US to participate in sales presentations, negotiations, and senior level meetings;
  • Coordinate and execute Sales meetings, trade shows and conferences, as required;
  • Participate in developing the company pricing strategy.
