YARD SUPERVISOR

We are looking for a motivated individual to join the Grand Lake Timber Team as a Yard Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities of this position include:

• Ensure a safe working environment for employees, contractors and suppliers
• Producing and delivering high quality chips and wood residue products
• Meeting production goals
• Training and development of employees
• Payroll administration and work scheduling
• Overseeing and driving improvements in the wood yard and also the chip plant operation

The selected candidate will be working in a team environment and will possess the following:

• Commitment to top performance in a safe work environment
• Post-secondary education in a technical, mechanical or forestry field is an asset
• Two years’ experience in a production setting
• Demonstrated leadership qualities
• Strong Desire to work in a fast paced team environment
• Highly developed communication skills
