Operational Technology Technical Lead
Location: Saint John, NB

Job Summary:
We seek an experienced Technical Lead to ensure operational technology (OT) is governed consistently in supporting the availability, performance and security requirements of JDI businesses. This role will be part of the IT Operations team and report to the Senior Director of IT Operations. The IT operations team is dedicated to support IT infrastructure operations which includes network, compute, cloud, and workplace systems and services. The OT Technical Lead will work with the operations team and the businesses to ensure J.D. Irving Ltd. manages our OT footprint efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the subject matter expert in OT through keeping current on key industry trends in Operational Technology (OT) and critical infrastructure cybersecurity.
- Develop an overarching strategy to protect Operational Technology (OT) environments from unplanned downtime.
- Work with vendors and businesses to ensure lifecycle and standards compliance management.
- Drive the development and delivery of an Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity program.
- Ensure plants can recover in a timely fashion from a cyber-attack or system failure.
- Participate and collaborate in implementing new requirements and/or new services.
- Develop and support a high performing Operational Technology (OT) technical advisory and support team.
- Chair communities to align, educate and share best practices and standards across companies.
- Mentoring and providing oversight, coaching, and training to technical support staff in the OT space
- Supporting the specialists to manage, monitor, and tune overall service performance, stability, and security.
- Monitor service performance and complete root cause and action plans for deviations.
Requirements:
- You have a post-secondary degree/diploma with a technology space
- You have demonstrated experienced working with operational technology
- You have the capability to build a strategy and work with others to ensure implementation plans meet expectations
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills and work will in matrix organizations
- You have a passion for making a difference as a subject matter expert
