OPPORTUNITY FOR PROFESSIONAL CLASS 1 PICK UP AND DELIVERY DRIVERS

Midland Transport is hiring two Class 1 Drivers for Local Pick Up & Delivery (P&D) Monday to Friday and Friday to Monday based at our Dartmouth, NS Terminal located at 31 Simmonds Drive, Dartmouth, NS, B3B-1R4.

What We Offer:

• Local Pick-Up and Delivery work where you home daily
• These openings will have you working approx. 45 hours per week
• We offer a great rate $24.75 per hour

• Quarterly Safety bonus $0.02/Mile (no preventable accident).
• Uniform Allowance is $367.50 per year.

What we need from you:

• Minimum 2 years of safe tractor driving experience.
• Valid Class one (1) driver's license.
• Clean driver's abstract and criminal search.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to provide Superior Quality Service.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time roles

Driving Areas:

Monday to Friday (Halifax – Bridgewater)

Friday to Monday (Halifax – Dartmouth)  

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Pick-up and deliver load from customers

·       Move equipment to shops, manage logbook

·       Communicate with dispatchers

·       Bring back rejected freight to terminal

·       Pre-trip and post-trip inspection of equipment
